Share, Like Keiran’s Legacy Together we can change culture and save lives.

In the aftermath of Christian Erikson’s sudden out of hospital cardiac arrest we urge the emergency services to work together, be effective decision makers and give timely timescales for dual responding and the implementation of defibrillators in all fast response vehicles in Scotland. The systems in place require to be changed to save lives and presently what happened to Keiran will continue to happen.
It is not all about more money, yes that is always useful, but more importantly it is about changing culture, beliefs, practice and utilising the current resources appropriately.

Keiran Mckandie we will never give up on you and the horrific way that you were taken, you have saved so many peoples lives and so many more aware of how to save a life but the changes that need to happen are bold but other countries have implemented them successfully, we can do this but the wheels of change in this country are painfully slow.

What needs to happen before this is changed?

What happened to Keiran 64 months today created the end of a life and an end of a family and although changes have occurred so many more people could be saved if the emergency services and the deployment of these services changed their system and practice.

Keirans Legacy continue to help Daniels family to ensure we get a defibrillator installed to ensure lives can be saved. Tomorrow is never guaranteed so knowing how to save a life is crucial. It can happen anywhere at anything and is not age related.

Keirans Legacy is a Scottish Charity regulated by OSCR and was formulated after Keiran our only child and son was involved in an accident on his bike on the 20th March 2016.
Keiran was 16 years old and did not survive the accident
